I was reading A beautiful Tale with lessons , same i found in Panchtatntra and Amar katha :
A crow lived in the forest and was absolutely satisfied in life. But one day he saw a swan. "This swan is so white," he thought, "and I am so black.This swan must be the happiest bird in the world." He expressed his thoughts to the swan.
"Actually," the swan replied, "I was feeling that I was the happiest bird around until I saw a parrot, which has two colors. I now think the parrot is the happiest bird in creation."The crow then approached the parrot. The parrot explained, "I lived a very happy life—until I saw a peacock. I have only two colors, but the peacock has multiple colors."
The crow then visited a peacock in the zoo and saw that hundreds of people had gathered to see him.After the people had left, the crow approached the peacock. " Dear peacock," the crow said, "you are so beautiful. Every day thousands of people come to see you. When people see me, they immediately shoo me away. I think you are the happiest bird on the planet."The peacock replied, "I always thought that I was the most beautiful and happy bird on the planet. But because of my beauty, I am entrapped in this zoo.
I have examined the zoo very carefully, and I have realized that the crow is the only bird not kept in a cage. So for past few days I have been thinking that if I were a crow, I could happily roam everywhere."That's our problem too. We make unnecessary comparison with others and become sad. We don't value what God has given us. This all leads to the vicious cycle of unhappiness.
Live the life valuing the things God has given us. Learn the secret of being happy and discard the comparison which leads only to unhappiness. And remember you are beautiful in your own way.
And story get finished with few lessons to absorbed ;
Now next thought comes in mind want to share , after reading this story if i wish to become swan or crow or parrot either peacock ( just think as we often do connected with characters of religious stories , eg; Rama Sita , Krishna , Radha, Meera , Jesus , Kabir , Budhha , Now Osho and further list is non ending )
Just think , all stories / tales what gives sense with little different angle !
when we recite these tale for kids , what is our motive ?
1- very popular to learn means Art of living . we even not try a thought to become crow or Monkey or other characters of story.
2- same is which is we forget total when we read granthas stories , here we try to Muffle those characters rather than learnings , why ? why one think to be Krishna Ram sita Radha Meera or Kabir or Osho or Budhha or Jesus Christ of Mohammad or x y z ? is it any sense ?
take lessons for ease life path that too according to individual need not ready made just tailor made (if) needed and move on on your own orbited path of life !! believe it your own life path is absolutely yours , before life and after death . you can not match it with others .
Take the help of Torch to see the light on your own Path , if path looks Illusive - Dark ! that's all (Y) the torch is for your convenience , not to hooked with torch !
Sense behind The Shastras are same read and find gem within for yourself and move-on for next level , its a type of Life-Quest where many hidden gems are to serve there purpose , find keep in bag and go for next ... and Mind it : in final leap these precious stone collected bag you should have to leave only here for others , you can not take it for with you .
keep in mind very clearly and remind self daily if memory is short ; you come here all alone naked and empty hands and you have to go back all empty hands .. breaths are not yours .. all are for your support with limited time to solve quest .
If any one plays video-game they may catch my point ; quickly !
Though all we known well , everyone is "One and Unique" and keep in mind very fairly > everyone is connected Individually with Source with Individual karma cycle not through agents , its not hidden fact .
slightly not to understand ; Why not we read entire those stories just for as Human was that time with certain faults and with Good deeds which are Embossed in the History of Stories , and who wrote wants to read later in coming generations , so that people get alert before making same mistakes .
this is the Only Positive aspect to read History, written stories may be from Puranas linked with Gods, or from recent past human history linked with human minds or its the form of Animals learning tales .. purpose is same .
Vedas written by some sages with purpose , Kuran written by some one with purpose , Bible written by with some purpose ............ I am surprising , why not we able to understand these fact , the Granthas are for betterment for human being . not to for madly killings by Politicians Religious leaders .
Do you understand ! what i am trying to say ?
Do not become blind follower to any * religion or * person specific , be a light for self and spread light for others with ( if ) condition , seeker takes self what is required .
